Venkateswararao fondly called as Dr. M.V.R and Dr. M. Padma Kumari with the support of several able and experienced doctors. VenkataPadma hospital, Vizianagaram was established on July 15, 1992 by Dr.Malla Venkateswara Rao, MD (Pediatrics), MSC psychology, PGPN (Boston) with a vision to serve the patients in Vizianagaram in the fields of Pediatrics and Obstetrics & Gynaecology at its present location. Dr. Malla Padma Kumari, MBBS, MD(Obstetrics & Gynaecology) joined in 1997.

Subsequently, the Hospital was expanded many-fold by adding additional built up area and facilities. At present the floor are available to the Hospital is about 40,000 square feet housing 100 beds in its Single A/C and Non-A/C Rooms,General ward, Neonatal Intensive care Unit and Pediatric Intensive care Unit.

The hospital is equipped with state of art labour room, three Modular operation theatres, NICU, PICU, SICU, full-fledged Casualty, High-end diagnostics, Outpatient Departments and all facilities for the best care in the fields of Obstetrics & Gynaecology and Pediatrics.
